Cookies & local storage
Useful storage. Clear choices.
The current public builds do not load advertising or analytics trackers. The sites use storage for sign-in, security and requested features such as drafts, saved projects, game progress and preferences. Necessary storage does not need an optional tracking permission. Optional services stay off until you enable them.

What can be stored
| Storage | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
Pattalium Account session and CSRF cookies__Host-pattalium_sso__Host-pattalium_csrf | Sign-in and protection against forged requests. Up to 30 days; the account session has a 7-day idle limit. Revocation can end it earlier. |
| Product session and sign-in handoff cookies | Each experience keeps its own protected session. Synthoverse uses an 8-hour session and a 10-minute handoff. Other services' lifetimes follow their session configuration. Sign-out or expiry ends access; a cookie is not a shared password. |
| Short-lived security challenges | Passkey and account security operations can use a 5-minute ceremony cookie. CSRF and other security cookies protect a requested action. |
Privacy choicepattalium:privacy:v1 | Local storage containing the notice version, time and any optional choices. Read for up to 180 days, then a new choice is required. It is not sent to an analytics service. |
| Drafts, project recovery and transaction retry state | Local or session storage preserves work and avoids duplicate actions after a connection failure. Tab storage normally ends with the browser session; local projects stay until removed by the feature or browser. Browser session restoration may restore tab data. |
| Game saves and chosen settings | Local storage or browser databases remember game progress, appearance, sound, motion and tool preferences. They remain until the feature resets them or you clear site data. |
| Hosting protection | Cloudflare may use security challenge cookies when needed to distinguish legitimate traffic and prevent abuse. Their purpose and lifetime are explained in Cloudflare's cookie information. |
Different experiences, separate choices
Cookie settings in an experience apply to that website in your current browser. Pattalium does not use a cross-site tracking identifier to synchronize these choices. Open the footer's Cookie settings on Synthoverse, Palyxen or another experience to review that site's settings. A choice on pattalium.com does not change another domain.
Changing or withdrawing a choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer or the game's menu. If optional services are available, Reject optional is as accessible as Accept optional, and you can save individual choices. Closing the dialog, scrolling or browsing never counts as consent. A storage-blocked browser can keep a choice for the current page only; optional services stay off on a new visit without a saved choice.
Clearing browser data
Your browser can remove cookies, local storage and site databases. This can sign you out and remove unsynced projects, drafts or game saves. Export anything you want to keep first. Rejecting optional services does not delete necessary session or project storage.
Local console audio
The BIOS soundtracks are audio files served directly by pattalium.com. Playback follows your sound and volume settings and pauses when you leave the page. No third-party player is loaded for the BIOS music.
Third-party destinations
Opening PayPal, GitHub, Ko-fi or another outside link takes you to that service. Its own cookie settings apply there. A link does not authorize Pattalium to load its tracking code in the background.
